WIN WIN was born in 2007 by Connie Braithwaite and a
small group of close friends and highly talented local women.

I decided it was time to use my God-given talents and the talents of other local women to raise money for a worthy cause. I have been living and working in Nassau County for several years and have met some amazing women who like myself, want to make a difference in their businesses
and in their community. I enjoy networking and entertaining and I am always looking for ways to meet other successful women. After attending
a similar group in Jacksonville called "Womenade" and getting to
know the founder, Judy Hicks, I knew I wanted to make a dent in my community, the way Judy had for her charity, Daniel. I brainstormed
with Judy about how to start a Nassau County networking group, how to select a local charity, and how to get women (old friends and new) to
come and share their talents and businesses.

I was pleased with the turnout of the first organizational meeting as many friends and neighbors showed up to share ideas, network and break bread together. A few days later, Judi Seay, a friend and neighbor called to say the group’s name had come to her and she couldn’t wait to share. WIN WIN (Women in Nassau helping Women in Need) was born! I had goose bumps when she said the name, knowing that again, the talents of others, coming together, would make this group a success.

We get together about once a month, break bread, network our businesses,
share a bottle of wine, fellowship and raise money for others. Women need
each other--so we get together, laugh a little and eat a lot-- all while raising money for a worthy women’s foundation in our own community. We have assisted many charities over the years including Gerri’s Corner, RAIN and Micah’s Place.

In 2012 we are pleased to announce that we will be working with Cedar Haven Transitional Home and Women of Power. Women of Power is an organization run by Laverne Mitchell Ministries. Mitchell empowers women by filling the gap between homelessness and independent living. While residing at Cedar Haven, women in transition undergo a comprehensive program to help develop the skills necessary to reclaim their place as self-sufficient, productive members of the community. WIN WIN will help Mitchell to meet her goals for the women of Cedar Haven Transitional Home by:

*Empowering women by assisting them in discovering their purpose in life *Equipping women with effective tools to build self esteem
*Providing support resources
*Educating women with life and financial skills
*Increasing home ownership by women
*Increasing employment opportunities for women.
